The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform quote a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
This is the thing that matters. The broker is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you commit.
